1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to use NurseCards. You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and for the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

2. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal study purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to access the Service via non-public APIs.
  • Upload malware, infringing materials, or content containing protected health information (PHI).
  • Share your account or use NurseCards to compete with us.
  • Interfere with other users or overload our infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features may require a paid subscription. We will clearly describe pricing, renewal intervals, refund eligibility, and applicable platform (App Store/Play Store) terms at purchase time. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel auto-renewal through the app store used to subscribe.

4. Generated Content & Academic Integrity

NurseCards uses AI assistance to generate flashcards from the materials you provide. You are responsible for reviewing outputs for accuracy and for complying with your school’s policies regarding AI-generated work. We may remove or restrict content that violates our moderation guidelines or applicable law.

5. Intellectual Property

NurseCards retains all ownership rights to the Service, including logos, software, and data models. You retain whatever intellectual property rights you have in the content you upload or create in the app. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide license to host, process, and display it solely to provide the Service.

6. Feedback

If you send suggestions or feedback, you grant us a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use it without obligation to you.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third parties (e.g., file importers, AI providers). Your use of those services is subject to their separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party products unless explicitly stated.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY OF CONTENT, AVAILABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Use NurseCards as a study aid, not a substitute for professional medical training or licensure requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NurseCards and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability will not exceed the amounts you paid to use NurseCards in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using NurseCards at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access with notice if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, unless local law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post updates here and, when material, notify you via the app or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
